• Know your enemy!

Welcome to our first meeting of 2014 on Thursday, January 23rd at our usual time, 6:30. Wow! Twenty fourteen!
We encourage everyone to attend and bring a friend because we are going to examine what we have learned over the past few years about varroa mites. Varroa is the cause of most of our bee problems but good management can improve our success dramatically. We will also have a workshop (hands on!) on how to test for varroa and what to do about it.  We will also have a microscope on hand so you can see the next step and further use some of the bees we have used for the varroa test to check for nosema spores.
Our goal is that when you leave the meeting everyone will have a varroa testing kit and the skill to test their bees.
Please  join us!
