BASC is looking for a area to hold its 2010 BEEKEEPING 101 course!

We lost the use of the property in Upland where our bee yard was and need a new location. If you have property in a semi-rural area of North Orange County, the Western ends of Riverside or San Bernardino County or the San Gabriel Valley where we can place hives please email us at workerbeeshoney@rocketmail.com

Beekeeping 101 is designed to help members learn and network with experienced beekeepers in the club. This event is intended especially for new members and those members new to beekeeping.

We will cover the following topics:

Cost: for all BASC members it is FREE. Non-members may attend, but must pay their 2010 dues of $8.00

Please bring your bee-suits, hats, veils, and gloves with you. Smoker and Hive tools are optional. Bee Suits and protective equipment may be purchased at Pierce-Mieras Manufacturing Company, Phone: 714-447-3855; Los Angeles Honey Company, Phone 323-264-2383; Miller’s Honey Company, Phone: 909-825-1722; or other bee supply companies. We cannot guarantee the availability of any extra or loaner suits and veils, however several BASC members may have additional protective clothing if you absolutely cannot purchase your own.
